OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK FOR LUNCH & DINNER

Locally run & passionate about Local Produce

The Fox Inn has a fantastic history having been here since 1777 famously the family home and one of the early pubs of the Woodhouse family of Hall & Woodhouse Brewery who for many years brewed in Ansty.

The pub is now owned by a local farming family whose ethos is to support British farming and produce and local suppliers. All our meat is UK and Red Tractor or our own organic meat from our own farm just across the road.

The pub is set in the heart of the county surrounded by a vast array of walks, cycle paths & bridle ways and it is not unusual to see plenty of dogs in the bar, bikes parked up in our racks and even a handful of horses on our hitching rail! The walking around the pub is so popular we have even produced our own walking book – an online copy can be found here, or find a hardcopy in the pub with any donations heading to a number of local charities.

The Fox Inn - A Little Gem

What a wonderful overnight stay we’ve just had. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. All the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The room was clean and cosy - the bed was amazingly comfortable and food was delicious and well priced. Our dog was welcomed as well as we were. A special thank you to Carly who served us at the bar and our food in the restaurant in the evening as well as at breakfast- she was lovely, polite and attentive, nothing was too much, also great at keeping the log burner going too !! Will definitely be back.
